How to Repurpose Empty Lotion Bottles into BEAUTIFUL Soap Bottles!

Green City Living Co. DIY eco home

When I was younger, I loved Bath & Body Works and now I have a lot of their glass lotion bottles and wallflowers. I wanted to find a way to repurpose them. After lots of research, I found out that you can repurpose these bottles in many ways. I started experimenting with my empty bottles and found the easiest way to clean them!

Here's How to Repurpose Empty Lotion Bottles into Beautiful Soap Bottles:

What You'll Need

  • Empty Lotion Bottles (I used old bath and body works lotion bottles- glass bottles are best suited for this DIY)

  • Castile or Bulk Soap

Directions

  • Fill your sink or a large bucket with warm soapy water.

  • Place your empty lotion bottles inside the warm soapy water and allow them to soak for a couple of hours. Only do a few bottles at a time and make sure they're fully submerged in the water.

  • After some time, remove the lotion bottles and peel the labels off the front and back of each bottle. It should come off relatively easily if it has been soaking for a while.

  • Dry the lotion bottles and set aside.

  • Clean the pumps of the lotion bottles by soaking them in a warm soapy water mixture. This should loosen any remaining lotion.

  • When the lotion bottles and the pumps are clean, fill your lotion bottles with a mixture of Castile or bulk soap and water (the ratio for castile soap and water is 1:10)
