Creamy & Delicious Earl Grey Hot Chocolate (Dairy-Free)

Hot chocolate is one of my favourite winter drinks. The addition of Earl Grey tea makes this creamy and delicious hot chocolate recipe so decadent and rich with flavour! This recipe is super easy to make from scratch and it can be made without dairy!

Here's How to Make a Creamy & Delicious Earl Grey Hot Chocolate (Dairy-Free):

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened soy, almond, or cashew milk (I used Oat)

  • 1/8 cup vegan chocolate chips or 15g of a chocolate bar (you can also use 2-3 tbsp of cocoa powder instead)

  • 1 tbsp sugar (I used Agave)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1-2 earl grey tea bags (you can use two tea bags for a stronger earl grey flavour)

Directions

  • Add your plant-based milk and chocolate to a small saucepan. Use a whisk to stir the milk and chocolate as you heat it over medium-low heat until the chocolate has melted; make sure not to boil the milk. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until combined.

  • Add the earl grey tea bag to your saucepan and allow it to steep for 4-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and pour the mixture into a mug. Enjoy!
