The BEST Shea Butter Body Lotion Recipe
Ingredients

1/2 Cup Organic Shea Butter

1/4 Cup Organic Coconut Oil
-
1/4 Cup Organic Jojoba Oil
-
15 Drops Organic Lavender Essential Oil (Optional)
Directions

Using the double boiler method (see notes for how to do this) melt the Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut Oil and Organic Jojoba Oil all together.

Remove mixture from the heat and place in the freezer for 10 minutes.

When the mixture is partially solid mix with a spoon.

Add the Organic Lavender Essential Oil.

Using a hand mixer, start whipping the mixture for 3-5 minutes.

When desired texture is reached place your whipped butter into an airtight container and place on the airtight lid.

How to Use The Double Boiler Method: Fill a medium or large saucepan three-quarters of the way with water and set a glass bowl on top (see image below). Turn the stove on high and bring the water to a boil and then lower the heat to medium-low to keep the water boiling gently. Add your ingredients to the glass bowl to heat them gradually, stirring regularly until melted.
